The monthly plan spreads the build cost over the minimum term and includes the hosting, security, updates and support. On Presence that works out cheaper than paying once and adding a care plan. On Launch it is about £140 more over 12 months, and on Grow about £720 over 18 – that is the cost of spreading it.
Google Search Console is a free Google tool that shows what people searched for before they clicked through to you. Hosting is the service that keeps a website online – on the monthly plan it is included; if you pay once, a care plan covers it.

What we need from you
- Every package: Your web address (domain). If you don't have one, tell us and we'll sort it out with you – the yearly registration cost is yours.
- Presence: Your words, photos and logo.
- Launch: Your words and photos – we design the logo.
- Grow: Your photos, and what you want your two campaign pages to sell.
- Custom: Agreed when we write the scope.
On Launch and Grow we agree a content date at the first meeting; if it arrives later, the launch date moves or the site goes live with agreed placeholders.
The two ways to pay
Pay once
Pay the build price and the site is yours outright. On Launch, Grow and Custom that is half to start and half when you go live. Keeping it looked after afterwards is optional. You keep the domain and the files.
All-in monthly
A smaller payment to start, then one monthly price that covers the build, the hosting, the security, the updates and the support. We build your website before you have paid for it. That is why there is a payment to start, and why the plan runs for a minimum length. While you are on the plan the site is hosted and looked after by us rather than owned by you – like Shopify or Squarespace. Prefer to own it outright? Pay once instead. When the minimum term ends the plan carries on month to month until you cancel. If you leave early, you pay off whatever is left of the build cost – nothing more.
Common questions
Who owns the website?
If you pay once, the site is yours outright once the final payment is made; you keep the domain and the files. On the all-in monthly plan we host and look after the site and manage the domain while you are with us, so during the term the site runs on our systems rather than being yours – much like Shopify or Squarespace. If you want to take the files, we agree a buy-out or conversion once the minimum term is complete. Prefer to own it from day one? Pay once instead.
Why is there a minimum term, and what happens at the end of it?
We build your website before you have paid for it. The monthly price spreads that build cost over the minimum term – 12 months on Presence and Launch, 18 on Grow, and agreed with your quote on Custom. When it ends the plan simply carries on month to month until you cancel.
What if I need to stop paying part way through?
You pay off whatever is left of the build cost, and nothing more. On Launch, for example, the build is £1,375 – so if you have already paid £1,175, you owe £200. Prefer no minimum term at all? Pay once instead and there is none.
What does the payment I make to start actually cover?
It is a one-off set-up fee, taken together with your first month – so on Presence you pay £148 on the day you start (the £99 set-up fee plus your first £49), then £49 a month after that. Together they cover the design and build work we do for you before you have paid for it. On your invoice and in our terms this fee is called the registration fee.
Can I move up a package later?
Yes. Move from Presence to Launch and the £99 set-up fee you paid comes off the Launch price. Moving from Launch to Grow is a new quote for the extra work.
What is not included, and what would you quote for?
Writing your words from scratch (unless you are on Grow), online shops and payments, booking systems, login areas for clients or staff, and running paid ads or posting new content month after month. Every package has a written scope and a fixed price, and anything on top is priced in writing before we do it.
How long does the Google Maps listing take?
We set it up and submit it as part of Grow. Google then decides how it verifies you – by video, post, phone or instantly – and that can take up to a fortnight, so the listing sometimes goes live shortly after your website does.
Do you work with clinics and other businesses handling sensitive information?
Yes, as Custom projects. Before we build anything we write down in plain English what information you collect, where it is stored, who can see it and how long you keep it, and you sign that off. Your site runs on Google Cloud, and we agree the hosting region with you as part of that scope.
Do I have to be technical to look after this?
No. On the monthly plan the hosting, security and updates are included, along with small content changes each month – you email us and we make them. Larger pieces of work are quoted before we do them. If you pay once, a care plan from £39 a month does the same job, or you can take it on yourself and we hand the finished site over.
Do I need a cookie pop-up?
Not for the visitor stats we set up as standard: they count visits without following people around, so no banner is needed. Some optional extras do need one – the session recordings and heatmaps on Grow, Google Analytics, and advertising tracking. On Grow you choose at the start whether you want the recordings; if you do, or if you add any of the others later, we set the banner up properly so nothing loads before your visitors have agreed.
What happens if my payment fails?
We try the payment again and email you. You get at least seven days' warning before we take your website offline. Taking it offline does not cancel your plan or wipe what you owe, and the site goes straight back up as soon as the payment goes through.
Looking after your website afterwards – from £39 a month
If you pay once, Essentials Care or the Care Plan keeps the site hosted, secure and up to date – you email us the change and we make it. If you are on an all-in monthly plan that is already included, so there is nothing to add there – but the Growth Retainer is still open to you, as the layer that works on turning more of your visitors into enquiries. Any of the three works with any package.
