Common questions
Do I have to be technical to look after this?
No. A Set up for you site you change yourself in SimplyDev, from your phone if you like. Add a care plan and we make the changes for you, along with the hosting, security and updates. For anything else Simplyxity Team builds, your quote says who looks after it once it is live: you, your own team, or us.
Where does a Set up for you site live?
In your own SimplyDev account. We build it there, and afterwards you change it yourself whenever you like. It starts on a simplyxity.site web address. On the Starter plan, £12 a month, it can use your own domain, show up on Google and drop our small badge – and every care plan includes that.
Who owns the website?
Anything Simplyxity Team builds for you is yours once the final payment is made – the domain, the files and the content. A Set up for you site lives in your own SimplyDev account from day one, and on SimplyDev's Pro plan you can download its code.
How do I pay?
Set up for you is a fixed £395. Everything Simplyxity Team builds is quoted first: small jobs in hours, at £65 an hour; projects at a fixed price, half to start and the rest when it goes live; larger projects after a paid scoping phase, which is taken off the build price if you go ahead, with a payment at each milestone of a signed agreement.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. Tell us when we scope the work and we write the stages into your quote – for example a payment at the start, one part way through and one when it goes live. You agree the plan in writing before we begin.
